Great question. Understanding the duration of trauma counselling is difficult to give a generic response to. Duration is often based on the individual needs and the severity of the trauma, with some people requiring short-term therapy and others benefiting from long-term support.

Yes, trauma counselling can be provided for younger clients, using age-appropriate techniques to help them process and understand their feelings. We do ask for Children under the age of 16 to be accompanied by an adult at our in-person and online sessions.

Recovering from traumatic experiences, PTSD or abuse isn’t linear and long-term support is often required. Fortunately, Inspire Therapy provide long-term support, providing that compassionate and confidential space to work through your thoughts, feelings and emotions.
